Desde su creación la Fundación Medatia se ha enfocado en dictar talleres de capacitación y educación no formal, cuyo objetivo es utilizar diversas manifestaciones artísticas como herramientas para el encuentro con el otro y su entorno.

La Fundación Medatia junto con las comunidades, ha consolidado un proceso de trabajo en él cual los participantes generan, a partir de sus propias experiencias, un espacio para crear y conocerse, como parte indispensable de una educación integral.

Anualmente Medatia realiza aproximadamente 25 talleres, a lo largo del país, en las poblaciones en las cuales esta involucrada,  atendiendo un número cercano a los 1500 niños y jóvenes por año, con un efecto multiplicador que permite la formación de 50 facilitadores.
